Background
Sirius was in a government shelter in Turkey. We were able to save him alongside 5 other Goldens before they were put to sleep. We organised for him to be taken to our safe boarding facility where we have prepped him to travel to the UK.
About
During his time in our boarding facility in Turkey, Sirius has proven to be a very playful dog – a typical young, male, Golden Retriever! He is happiest when he can play with yous and goof around in the water. He is the life of the party!
Sirius also does very will with other dogs. He is currently living with the other 5 Golden Retrievers that he was rescued with. He hasn’t shown any guarding behaviours around other dogs and toys/food.
According to our boarders, Sirius is a very intelligent young dog. He learns quickly and likes to learn.
He walks well on lead and he loves being around people.
Ideal adopter and home
Sirius’ ideal home will be either as an only dog or with a dog of similar energy levels and temperament. He is very active and so would love a garden to play around in and proximity to green spaces for decent walks.
He would make a good dog for either a first-time adopter or a more experienced adopter.
Ideally his adopter will be able to work from home so that he is not left alone for long periods of time. An active boy like Sirius needs stimulation and good exercise.
