Shadow was surrendered to us for rehoming after her owner passed away.

Shadow is a very confident and happy dog. Although she is 10 years old, she is still full of energy and zest for life, enjoying long walks with good stamina. She is playful and has really enjoyed goofing around with balls in her foster home. She has a high prey drive for small furries but is calm around livestock.

She does really well around other dogs. She can be vocal at first out of excitement but calms down and is happy in their company. She could live as an only dog or with another dog.

She knows some basic cues such as “sit”, ‘bed” and “come”, although her new family will need to be prepared to work on recall with her as it is not fully reliable.

Shadow has very good house manners and settled quickly into her foster home where she has had no issues during the night and does not try to climb the stairs to access the upstairs of the house.

She travels well in the car and will happily hop in and out as requested.

When Shadow came into our care she had a couple of lumps on her which were removed via surgery – the lumps were large fatty lumps with no cancer present. This surgery has delayed her spay operation which still needs to be performed and so we will require Shadow to be spayed once settled in her new home.

Shadow will do well in most home environments. She is an easygoing dog who needs a loving home to retire to, enjoying long walks and plenty of love in her golden years.
